Shipping Policy

There are three types of orders available at Envelopes.com: Plain Orders, Printed Orders and Sample Orders

Plain Orders:

95% of plain orders ship the same or next business day. We do not guarantee same day shipping, but we try very hard!

In the event that an item is backordered, you will be notified and presented with the best options to proceed with the order.

Orders are processed Monday-Friday, 9AM to 5PM ET. Orders placed outside of these hours will not be processed until the next business day. Orders placed after 5:00pm ET on Friday, will be processed on Monday, except in the event of a Holiday in which the fulfillment center is closed. Envelopes.com facilities are closed on weekends.

If your order has been processed for shipping, or has shipped, we can not cancel your order. You can refuse the delivery, and your order will be subject to our return policy.

In the event there is a credit card authorization issue, the order will be put on hold and you will be notified immediately.

Printed Envelopes:

After you have approved your proof and production is complete, shipping transit time will take from 1-7 business days depending on what level of Shipping Service you have selected. Once your proof is approved, total processing, production and delivery time for printed orders can be as fast as 3 business days or as long as 11 business days depending on your production time, shipping method, and delivery location.

Sample Orders:

Sample Orders are processed and mailed via the US Postal Service with 1st Class Postage within 3-5 business days. They do not have a tracking number.

In the event a Sample Order is deemed to exceed the US Postal Service 1st Class Mail guidelines you will be contacted by customer service regarding the fee for an alternate shipping method.

Shipping Methods:

Envelopes.com uses a range of carriers for each shipping option. We choose the most appropriate delivery method for your ship to address. Envelopes.com will choose a preferred carrier after your order has been placed.

Free Pickup: If you're in the Long Island area, you can pick up your order FREE of charge at the Amityville, NY location.
You will be notified by phone when your order is ready.
Free pickup is available M-F, between the hours of 9:00AM-5:00PM ET

USPS Priority Mail: Your order will be delivered within 1-3 business days after the order leaves an Envelopes.com facility, not counting the ship date and not including Sunday, or USPS Holidays.
Package arrives before end of day along with your normal mail delivery Monday through Saturday.

Standard (Up to 7 days): Your order will be delivered within 7 business days after the order leaves an Envelopes.com facility, not counting the ship date and not including Saturday and Sunday, or Carrier Holidays.
Package arrives before end of day. We ship from multiple locations.

Premium (2 - 3 Days): Your order will be delivered 2-3 business days after the order leaves Envelopes.com, not counting the ship date and not including Saturday and Sunday, or Carrier Holidays. Package usually arrives by end of day.

Next Day (1 Day): Your order will be delivered 1 business day after the order leaves Envelopes.com, not counting the ship date and not including Saturday and Sunday, or Carrier Holidays. Package usually arrives before end of day.

Next Day AM (1 day): Your order will be delivered the next business day by 12pm, after the order leaves Envelopes.com, not counting the ship date and not including
Saturday and Sunday, or Carrier Holidays. Package usually arrives before end of day

If you would like to place a UPS or FedEx shipping charge that is over $25.00 on your own UPS or FedEx account, you can supply the number in the comments box on the checkout page.
We do not accept customers' account for sample orders. The shipping charge will show on your order confirmation, but we will remove the shipping cost before charging your credit card.

All orders shipped to a NY address will be charged the appropriate state sales tax.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns of plain products are accepted, if returned within 14 days of receiving the shipment. Refunds, less the shipping and restocking fee (if applicable, see below) will be issued to the credit card used to place the order within 5 business days of receipt. Shipping charges are non-refundable for undelivered, unclaimed or refused packages unless we made an error.

Returns must be in sellable condition or a refund will not be processed. The outer and inner cartons that the items are packaged in are considered to be part of the product. Please do not discard, deface or destroy the cartons.

Samples orders are non-refundable and are not eligible for returns.

International customers wishing to return an item should contact Customer Service prior to shipping.

You may use any delivery service (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc), but be sure to ship via a trackable method to ensure Envelopes.com receives your return.

Refused Shipments:

If a shipment is refused, the carrier will return the package(s) to Envelopes.com. The customer is responsible for the cost of both the outbound shipping and the return shipping, and that amount will be deducted from any credit the customer is due. The restocking fee may also apply.

Restocking Fee:

There is a 25% restocking fee for all returns, which will be waived if a replacement order is placed.

Partial Returns:

Partial returns are accepted and refunds will be processed for only the items sent back, less the restocking fee.

For example: If you purchased 1,000 envelopes for $50.00, and returned 750 envelopes, you would be refunded $37.50 for the envelopes, less the restocking fee of $9.38, for a total refund of $28.12.
($50.00 - $37.50 - $9.38 = $28.12)

Print Orders:

We do not accept returns of printed items, unless Envelopes.com is the responsible party for the printing error.

If you send back a return that is not eligible for a refund, it is your responsibility to pay an additional shipping charge if you would like the product back again.

Exchanges:

Exchanges for items of the same quantity or value are processed without a restocking fee.

Place your new order online and include your new order number on the return slip of the original order.

Please note: Customers are responsible for return shipments of the original items. Refunds do not include costs for the original shipment or costs incurred upon return shipment.

If the replacement item is of higher value, you will be charged the difference of the replacement item over the original item value.

For example: If you purchased 100 envelopes for $30.00 and exchanged the 100 envelopes for an item valued at $40.00, you would be charged the difference of $10.00.

If the replacement item is of lesser value, you will be refunded the difference of the orignial item, less the replacement item value.

For example: If you purchased 500 envelopes for $80.00 and exchanged the 500 envelopes for an item valued at $60.00, you would be refunded the difference of $20.00.

Samples are available to help you decide what style, size and color meets your needs.

How do I order samples?
Click the link "Order a Sample" button located on the product page, under the orange Add to Cart button. Sample orders can not be taken over the phone, live chat or email.

Is there a shipping charge for samples?
No, the USPS First class mail postage is included in the $1.00 charged for the sample. In the event a Sample Order is deemed to exceed the US Postal Service First Class Mail guidelines you will be contacted by customer service regarding the fee for an alternate shipping method. Excluding Canada and the U.S. Territories, international customers are responsible for all shipping including duties, taxes, insurance and brokerage fees.

How can I get my samples fast?
Free Shipping via USPS is pre-selected by default at checkout, but you may choose to upgrade the shipping service for the cost displayed next to each or you may use your own UPS or FedEx account by inputting your account number and preferred service level in the Shipping and Order Comments box at the checkout.

Will all my samples come together?
If you order more than one sample, it is possible that the order will be sent from multiple locations and will arrive separately and possibly at different times. If you placed an order for product and samples, your samples will arrive separately via USPS First Class Mail.

Can I track my samples?
Standard sample orders that are sent via USPS First Class Mail do not have a tracking number.

Can I order samples over the phone?
Sorry, sample orders must be placed online.

Can I place more than one order for samples?
Yes, knock yourself out!

How do I get sample coupons?
You will be emailed a sample coupon for $1.00-$5.00, based on the number of samples purchased from your sample order. You may purchase as many samples as you want, but the maximum sample coupon credit you can earn is $5.00 per order. For example, if your order $10.00 worth of samples you will still only earn a $5.00 sample coupon.

How do I use my sample coupon
Sample coupons can be used on your next order of $20.00 or more by providing the sample coupon code, you received via email, at the checkout. Only one coupon code can per used per order. Sample coupons expire 90 days after the original sample order was placed.
